Kurt practices with DeWitt in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, business succession planning, tax law and general corporate. Prior to practicing law, Kurt worked as an accountant with a “big four” accounting firm and a large regional accounting firm. He has extensive experience in business and individual income tax planning, entity selection and succession, and real estate taxation.
Kurt has lectured at Hennepin County Bar Association seminars on entity selection and the financial aspects of starting a business. He has also presented seminars to numerous banks on tax return preparation.
Kurt has also been a licensed real estate agent in Minnesota since 1996. Kurt lives with his wife, two young sons, and two dogs. In his spare time, he is working on obtaining his pilot’s license and enjoys hunting and other outdoor activities.
