HR Roundtable: I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification New Year, New I-9, New Administration! Now What?

Please join us for our complimentary HR Roundtable. DeWitt attorneys Raluca (Luca) Vais-Ottosen and Erin Burns will address the new form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification that became mandatory as of January 22, 2017, along with its most common pitfalls and new penalty schedule. The seminar will address various types of I-9 variations and the civil and criminal liability exposure that they cause. Attorneys Vais-Ottosen and Burns will also discuss the recent trends by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to audit or investigate U.S. businesses in connection with their I-9 practices, as well as expected practices from the new Trump administration in connection with I-9 and E-Verify.

About the Author
